This is a case-in-point as to why there should be no such thing as "too big to fail" and government should never have created a policy of bailing out banks. Banks should be allowed to fly or die. And investors should always be wary.

Perhaps it suggests that true Democracy invariably leads to socialism. Because as soon as the balance tips to where the majority can simply mandate that the minority pay all the bills, the writing is on the wall....unsustainable.
